The government also launched a helpline number \u2013 181 \u2013 where the victims of fraud can register FIRs against co-operative societies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are seven co-operative societies which lost their registration\ndue to the complaints of alleged irregularities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Shubh<\/li><li>Sudhan<\/li><li>Parvati<\/li><li>Dani <\/li><li>Ambe <\/li><li>Keshav <\/li><li>Supreme<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are trying to identify other co-operative societies involved\nin irregularities. We will cancel their registration. If they are found\noperation even after the cancellation of registration, we will take legal\naction against them,\u201d said a co-operative department officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision to cancel the registration of the seven co-ops\nwas taken after a meeting at state secreteriate presided over by the\nco-operative minister Udai Lal Anjana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officer said that the government has decided to launch a\nhelpline number for fraud victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe victims can call 181 and register complaints against\ncooperative societies,\u201d said the officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Anjana said that protecting investors from\nfraudulent schemes is their number 1 priority. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe central government is preparing the draft of the\nBanning of Unregulated Deposit Scheme. We will also come up with regulations to\nprotect investors,\u201d said the ministers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three major cases of frauds by co-operative societies have\ncome to fore this year.
