Jaipur: While Vaibhav Gehlot \u2013 son of chief minister Ashok\nGehlot \u2013 is all set to fight for the post of president in RCA elections, his\nname didn\u2019t figure on the list of voters released by election officer TS\nKrishnamurthy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The election officer released the revised election schedule\nand the voters list on Thursday. No changes have been made to the voters list\nwhich was released on August 24, so the name of Vaibhav Gehlot who was elected\ntreasurer of Rajsamand District Cricket Association on September 9 was not included\nin the voters list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now Vaibhav Gehlot can fight the election if Rajsamand\ncricket association submits an objection to the voters list and this objection\nis entertained by the election officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
RCA joint secretary Mahendra Nahar, however, released\nanother voters list on Thursday. In this list, the name of Vaibhav Gehlot has\nbeen included. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per the election schedule released by the election\nofficer Krishnamurthy, the elections will be conducted on September 27;\nhowever, joint secretary Nahar backed by the CP Joshi fraction said that the\nelection would be conducted on October 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe BCCI approved RCA constitution on September 9. The election\ncan be held within 21 days of this. So we are planning to hold the elections on\nOctober 4,\u201d said an RCA officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ban on the RCA was imposed by the BCCI in 2014. The RCA\nhas been trying to get the ban lifted for the past five years. When CP Joshi\nwas elected the president of RCA, he said that his first priority would be to\nget the ban lifted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
