Jaipur: Two days after Maliram Choudhary \u2013 a head constable\nof Gogunda police station \u2013 was arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 11,000, the\nRajasthan anti-corruption bureau (ACB) revealed that it seized registery\ndocuments suggesting ownership of several residential plots in over 30 cities\nand towns in Udaipur and Rajsamand district of the state. ACB suspects that\nthese residential plots belonged to other people, but the head constable\nprepared registry documents and was involved in land grabbing. ACB is all set\nto register a disproportionate assets case against Maliram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A senior ACB officer said that Maliram prepared registries of\nresidential plots illegally in the jurisdiction of all the police stations\nwhere he was posted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSeveral complaints in this regard reached the senior police\nofficers also. We are examining the registry documents recovered from the house\nof Maliram Choudhary. Further investigation is going on,\u201d said ACB ASP Sudhir\nJoshi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maliram \u2013 a head constable with Gogunda police station \u2013 was\narrested after he was caught taking a bribe of Rs 11,000 in a case of dispute. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maliram joined the police department as a constable in 2001.\nHe was promoted to head constable in 2016. He bought residential plots in\nMajera, Bhwana, Nathdwara, Gogunda, Mawali, Semari, Jhodol and several other\nplaces.
