Two middlemen \u2013 Vikas Dangi and Om Singh \u2013 were also arrested. Joint\nsecretary Banshidhar Kumawat was allegedly demanding bribe to give a\nChittorgarh-based minor a stay against the penalty amount of Rs 8.3 crore. The\nofficer and the middlemen have been booked under various sections of the Prevention\nof Corruption Act. Further investigation is going on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trap\nwas organized under the supervision of ASP Prithavi Raj Meena. According to ACB\nofficials, a minor had approached the agency complaining that BD Kumawat was\ndemanding bribe to provide a stay on a penalty imposed by the mining\ndepartment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe\ncomplaint was verified when one of the middleman \u2013 Vikas Dangi \u2013 took Rs 7 lakh\nfrom the ACB complainant. He kept Rs 7 lakh for himself and gave the remaining\namount of Rs 5 lakh to Om Singh. The trap was laid. BD Kumawat was caught\nred-handed when Om Singh was handing over Rs 4 lakh to him on Wednesday,\u201d said\nan ACB officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ACB\nteams are carrying out searches at the house and other places belonging to\nBanshidhar Kumawat.
