The police have clamped section 144\nof CrPC banning gathering of five or more people in 15 police station areas. The\nmobile internet services also remained suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Tuesday night, the people from two communities started a\nconfrontation at Rawalji Chauraha and Badanpura. More than 30 vehicles were\ndamaged and 10 people injured in the stone pelting. Both the spots are under\nthe jurisdiction of Subhash Chowk police station. A team from the police\nstation was rushed to the spot, but when the situation couldn\u2019t be brought\nunder control additional police force was deployed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The police fired tear gas and used force to disperse the\ncrowd of people. Eight people were taken into custody. Heavy police force has\nbeen deployed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tension was triggered on Sunday when some people attacked\npeople from another community. The clashes were reported on Monday. The tension\nescalated since Tuesday morning as there were reports of people hurling stones\non a religious place in Galta Gate area. The police appealed for peace and\nharmony but people again started a confrontation in the evening, causing the\npolice to clamp section 144 of CrPC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The internet services have already been suspended in 10\npolice station areas to prevent the spread of rumours. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A minor clash had taken place between the people of two communities after\nsome pilgrims were attacked in Ramganj area on Sunday. The tension prevailed in\nthe area on Monday, but no untoward incident was reported as people were\nbusying celebrating Bakrid and the last money of Shravan month. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tension escalated in the evening when people gathered at some places in\nRamganj and Khole Ke Hanuman Ji Chauraha. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jaipur: Tension continues to prevail in communally sensitive areas of the Walled City including Ramganj as people from two communities engaged in stone hurling on Tuesday night.
