These restaurants\ndon\u2019t follow building bylaws norms and also don\u2019t have fire fighting and other equipment\nrequired to deal with emergency situations such as fire and earthquake, senior\nJDA officials said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have identified several rooftop restaurants in the city\nwhich are operating without any license or permits. They don\u2019t have any fire\nfighting arrangements in place. The buildings they are being operated in have no\nparking arrangements. In fact in case of any emergency situations, they don\u2019t\nhave any emergency exits. For these violations, we have served them notices and\nsought explanation. Strict action will be taken against these rooftop restaurants\nin Jaipur,\u201d said a senior JDA official. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that similar notices were served to coaching\ninstitutes in the city. Over 180 notices have been served. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMost of the coaching institutes are running in residential\nbuildings. They also don\u2019t have fire safety arrangements in place. The parents\nshould verify whether the coaching institutes where they are enrolling their\nchildren in are legal and are equipped with fire safety and other arrangements,\u201d\nsaid the officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The JMC had also recently served notices on some coaching institutes.\nA coaching institute was recently sealed for violating fire safety norms. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jaipur: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has served notices to 65 rooftop restaurants being illegally operated in Jaipur.
