Jaipur: The higher education department on Wednesday released the schedule for Rajasthan Student Union Election 2019. According to the election schedule, the voting will take place on August 27 in a single phase, while the counting of votes will take place the next day on August 20. The counting will begin at 11 am. The elections are being conducted in one phase so that classes don\u2019t get disrupted and the law enforcement agencies don\u2019t have to dedicate more resources than what is necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe election process will begin on August 19. All the\nuniversities including Rajasthan University, Mohanlal Sukhadia University (Udaipur)\nJai Narain Vyas University (JNVU- Jodhpur) and Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University\n(MDSU – Ajmer) and their constituent\ncolleges will go to polls on August 27. The voting will take place simultaneously\nacross the state, \u201d said a senior higher education department officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The student leaders and their supporters have about 20 days\nfor campaigning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some student leaders have already started campaigning at\nRajasthan University and its constituent colleges including Rajasthan College,\nMaharaja College, Maharani College and Commerce College. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police have stepped up security arrangements. JMC teams\nare also keeping an eye on student leaders and their supporters who are\nindulging in defacing public properties with election materials such as posters\nand banners. The police on Wednesday seized over 20 vehicles for carrying\ncampaigning material and sticks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
