Currently, 30 wards are reserved for\nwomen. The number of wards increased to 150 after delimitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of the total 150 wards, 32 will be reserved for OBC\ncandidates, 19 for SC and six for ST candidates. Of the 19 words for SC\ncandidates, six will be reserved for women. Similarly of the six ST wards, two\nwill be reserved for women. In the OBC category, 11 wards will be reserved for\nwomen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Only the women candidates will be allowed to content in 31\nwards out of the 91 wards where candidates from general category are allowed to\ncontest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The authorities will hold a lottery to decide reserved wards\nunder each category in the presence representatives of all political parties\nand stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The number of wards had been increased previously in 2014.
