The accused officer was demanding Rs 2 lakh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had taken Rs 50,000 at the time of verification of the complaint by the ACB, while he was trapped on Friday while taking Rs 50,000 &#8211; the second instalment of the bribe, ACB officials said. He has been arrested and booked under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act. He will be produced in a court soon, the officials added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jaipur: The Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau (ACB) arrested circle officer (CO) of Nokha in Bikaner, Mahmood Khan, after he was allegedly caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 50,000 for arresting an accused in a dowry case. He will be produced in a court soon, the officials added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to\nsenior ACB officials, Mahmood Khan is a Rajasthan Police Service (RPS) officer,\ncurrently deputed as CO, Nokha.&nbsp; He was\ninvesting a dowry harassment case. The woman and her family members who lodged\nthe FIR against her husband demanded arrest in the case. For arresting the\nhusband and his family members, Mahmood Khan asked for a bribe of Rs 2 lakh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAfter receiving\nthe complaint, we verified the complaint. Mahmood Khan took Rs 50,000 at the\ntime of verification.
