Jaipur: <\/strong>A day after the Rajasthan anti-corruption\nbureau (ACB) arrested deputy housing commissioner Raj Singh and assistant\naccount officer (AAO) Neelkanth Purohit of Rajasthan housing board, the agency\nofficials said that an investigation has been launched to disclose wealth\namassed by the accused officers allegedly through corruption. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The ACB has\nso far uncovered Rs 7.76 lakh cahs, 300 gram gold, 1.5 kg silver, a bank\nbalance of Rs 32 lakh, two plots in Bikaner and Jaipur in the name of\ndaughters, two shops in Bikaner\u2019s Shaubhasar and an FD of Rs 20 after\nconducting raids at the house and other places belonging to Raj Singh.\nSimilarly, the ACB found an FD of Rs 10 lakh, two houses in Muralidhar and\nMukta Prasad Nagar and a flat in Jaipur after carrying out searches at places\nbelonging to the AAO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The ACB trapped\nRaj Singh and Neelkanth on Wednesday while they were allegedly taking bribe of\nRs 50,000 and Rs 20,000 from contractors. They were arrested under various sections\nof the Prevention of Corruption Act. They will be produced in a court on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The police\nalso detained the mother and wife of the deputy commissioner Raj Singh at Churu\nRailway Station when they were found in possession of about Rs 2.5 lakh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cACB searches\nat the places belonging to both the officials are going on.
