Jaipur: Mobile internet services in 13 police stations areas of Jaipur were\nrestored almost four days after the local administration snapped them following\ntension over the rape with a 7-year-old girl in Shashtri Nagar. The decision to\nrestore the services was taken after the senior police and administration officials\nevaluated the law and order situation. The residents in these areas heaved a\nsigh of relief as the internet ban was affecting normal life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cNo untoward incident was reported over the past four days and the law and order situation is under control, so we have decided to lift the internet ban,\u201d said a senior police officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ban had been imposed on Tuesday in communally sensitive areas under 13\npolice stations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot appealed for peace and harmony. He assured that\nno stone was left unturned to nab the culprit who raped the child. He took a\nmeeting of senior police and administration officers as soon as he arrived in\nJaipur from Delhi and discussed the progress in the case. He instructed the officials\nto ensure law and order in the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The girl was playing outside on Monday when a man came on a bike and\nintroduced himself as a friend of her father. He took her to an isolated place\nnear Amanishah and raped her. He dropped the girl two hours later, profusely\nbleeding. The girl was first taken to Kanwatia Hospital and then referred to JK\nLon Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The local residents protested outside Kanwatia Hospital following rumours\nthat the girl had died. Some anti-social elements damaged cars parked outside\nseveral homes in the area and also uprooted water pipelines, escalating\ntension. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
