Jaipur: The city administration imposed a ban on internet\nservices in the jurisdictional area of 13 police stations in Jaipur after tension\nerupted over the rape with a 7-year-old girl. The girl was found bleeding in\nShashti Nagar area on Monday evening. The rumours of her death during treatment\nat JK Lon Hospital triggered widespread protests in Shashtri Nagar. As a precautionary\nmeasure, the administration imposed ban on the internet services in areas dominated\nby the community to which the girl belonged. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some anti-social elements smashed windows of more than two\ndozen vehicles including police SUVs following the demonstration outside\nKanwatia Hospital late on Monday. Some men were caught on CCTVs damaging cars\nparked outside homes and shops in Shashtri Nagar. In the morning, the owners of\nsome vehicles damaged by the crowd reached the police station and demonstrated.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tension escalated in the area on Tuesday after the\nrumours of the girl\u2019s death spread on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The girl was playing outside on Monday when a man came on a\nbike and introduced himself as a friend of her father. He took her to an isolated\nplace near Amanishah and raped her. He dropped the girl two hours later,\nprofusely bleeding. The girl was first taken to Kanwatia Hospital and then\nreferred to JK Lon Hospital due to her critical condition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Senior Congress politicians including MLA Ameen Khan reached\nShashtri Nagar and appealed that the people should maintain law and order. He\nassured that the culprit would be put behind bars soon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police appealed through their official social media\nhandles that the girl was alive and perfectly fine. They appealed that the people\nshould maintain peace and harmony.
