The JMC didn\u2019t bother to cover it up causing the tragedy. The\nfamily members demanded that a case of criminal negligence be registered\nagainst responsible officials and contractor involved in the work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident took place on Tuesday. Faizan, a resident of\nVidhyadhar Nagar sector \u2013 8, left home around 10 am. He told his family members\nthat he was going out to play with his friends. When he didn\u2019t return till\nnoon, the family members started a search. They didn\u2019t find him till midnight.\nMeanwhile, they informed the police and registered a missing person\u2019s report. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family members got a call from the police station around\n11.45 pm on Tuesday. The family members were asked to come to the park. The\nbody was found in the pit there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe were informed about a body floating in the pit by some\npeople who had gone to the park for jogging in the evening,\u201d said a police\nofficer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officer added that the body was sent for a postmortem\nexamination and handed over to the family members for final rituals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family members, relatives and neighbors gathered at JMC\u2019s\nVidhyadhar Nagar zonal office accusing the civic body of negligence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThey didn\u2019t cover up the pit even after it was filled with\nwater after the rains.
