The JDA has set a new deadline for Dravyavati Project. The project will now be completed by October 31. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is for the fourth time that the deadline for the project has been extended. The JDA has cited ban on gravel and delay in the clearance from other departments including railways and forest for the delay in completion of the Dravyavati project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The JDA fixed the new deadline during a meeting with the officials\nof National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB). The board is funding many\nprojects in the city currently. The JDA however didn\u2019t mention the negligence\nof the firms involved in these projects. There were reports of differences\nbetween the private firms and JDA causing the delay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline for some other projects including Sitapura ROB,\nDantali ROB, Jahota ROB and Sodala elevated road and Bassi ROB were also\nextended. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Urban development minister Shanti Dhariwal had recently\ninspected the Dravyavati Riverfront project and blamed the previous BJP-led\nstate government for the delay. He said that the project was inaugurated in haste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 13 km stretch of Dravyavati riverfront out of 47 km \u2013 that is the area\nfrom Sushilpura to Bambala bridge \u2013 was thrown open for public on October 2. The\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/missed-dravyavati-river-inauguration-these-photos-will-take-you-straight-to-the-glorious-celebration\/\">project\nwas inaugurated<\/a> by then CM Vasundhara Raje at Landscape park in Mansarovar.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, Bird Park developed under the Dravyavati River Project near\nPanipech in Shashtri Nagar was thrown open for people on November 4. This is\nthe second park developed under the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three different parks that spread over an area of 1,00,000 sq. m have been\ndesigned and developed alongside Dravyavati river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dravyavati riverfront is being developed along a length of 47-kilometers\nacross the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dravyavati River was the long-lost river of the city before this project\ninitiated.
