The parking will likely be\noperation from August. The civil work has been completed, according to the\nsenior officials. Tenders have already been issued for the remaining works. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officials believe that the parking facility at Chaugan\nstadium will go a long way in reducing traffic congestion in several markets of\nthe Walled City including Gangauri Bazaar, Chhoti Chaupar and Chandpole Bazaar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn one hand, it will be easier for the people coming to the\nWalled City to find parking space. On the other hand, the underground parking will\nbenefit the traders. The biggest problem that discourages many people from\ncoming to the Walled City markets for shopping is parking. The Chogan Stadium\nparking will solve this problem for some of the markets,\u201d said a senior officer\nof Smart City project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The parking will be able to accommodate over 400 vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe deadline to complete the work is December, but we have\nmanaged to finish most of the work. We hope the parking will be thrown open for\nthe public by August,\u201d said the officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chandpole Anaj Mandi is another parking facility in the\nWalled City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe work for this parking facility will be completed by\nDecember.
