{"id":7008,"date":"2019-05-17T10:33:07","date_gmt":"2019-05-17T05:03:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/?p=7008"},"modified":"2019-05-17T10:33:11","modified_gmt":"2019-05-17T05:03:11","slug":"bajari-mining-corruption-in-tonk-acb-arrests-constable-sho-on-run","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/bajari-mining-corruption-in-tonk-acb-arrests-constable-sho-on-run\/","title":{"rendered":"Bajari mining corruption in Tonk: ACB arrests constable, SHO on run"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jaipur: In a major trap, the Rajasthan anti-corruption\nbureau (ACB) on Friday arrested constable of Peeplu police station in Tonk\ndistrict after he was allegedly caught taking a bribe on behalf of the station\nhouse officer () Vijendra Singh Gill for allowing illegal gravel (bajari)\nmining from Chambal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ACB teams are searching for the SHO, but he is missing.\nAn FIR has been lodged under various sections of the Prevention of Corruption\nAct after an amount of over Rs 1.46 lakh was recovered from the constable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trap once again exposed rampant corruption in illegal\ngravel mining despite a Supreme Court ban. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Constable of Piplu police station Kailash Choudhary was\nallegedly taking monthly commission for allowing gravel-laden trucks to pass\nthrough the police station area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Choudhary was allegedly demanding the bribe on behalf of SHO\nVijendra Singh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe had received complaints about the police station staff\nbeing involved in taking a fixed amount of money per month from each truck\npassing through their area. These trucks carry illegally mined gravel to other parts\nof the state,\u201d said a senior ACB officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The constable was arrested while a search has been launched\nfor the SHO. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe recovered Rs 1.46 lakh from the constable during the trap.\nThe amount was suspected to have been collected from truck drivers,\u201d said the\nofficer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further investigation is going on. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jaipur: In a major trap, the Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Friday arrested constable of Peeplu police station in Tonk district after he was allegedly caught taking a bribe on behalf of the station house officer () Vijendra Singh Gill for allowing illegal gravel (bajari) mining from Chambal.
