Jaipur: The voting ended for the fifth phase of Lok Sabha\nelections at the 12 constituencies of Rajasthan at 6 pm. The voting percentage\nwas recorded at 60.10 percent, chief electoral officer Anand Kumar said. The\nvoting percentage was slightly less than that in the last general elections in\n2014. The state had recorded a voting percentage of 61.80 the last time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
EVM malfunctioning was reported at many polling booths in Rajasthan.\nSenior election department officials said that the EVMs were replaced within\nhalf an hour at these places. At a polling booth in Lalkothi, BJP MP Ramcharan\nBohara and BJP leader Ashok Parnami allegedly caught some people casting bogus\nvotes. Both the leaders reached the Lalkothi police station to register a complaint.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The voting went off peacefully in all the 12 constituencies\nof the state. There were 23,783 polling booths. A total of 134 candidates were\nin the fray including 12 of the Congress and 11 of the BJP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the first phase, the voting percentage was 68.22. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The voting is taking place in Jaipur, Sriganganagar,\nBikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur rural, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur,\nKarauli \u2013Dholpur, Dausa and Nagaur.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
