Jaipur: To encourage voting in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha\npolls in Jaipur, many traders and industrial associations have declared half-day\noff. They are encouraging shopkeepers and employees to reach polling booths for\nvoting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Federation of Rajasthan Trade and Industry (FORTI) chairman\nSuresh Agarwal said that nearly 175 commercial institutions associated with the\norganization have declared a full-day leave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The industries associated with FORTI have 15 lakh employees.\nThe industries have declared a leave for these employees so that they can vote\nin the elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jaipur Vyapar Mahasangh president Subhash Goyal said that\nthere are 23 markets associated with the organization in the city. Most of them\nare in the Walled City. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have asked all the traders in these markers to take\nhalf-day off and vote. The voting is the right as well as the duty of every\ncitizen in the country. We don\u2019t want traders to miss voting,\u201d said Goyal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jaipur transport operators association, Jaipur wholesale\ntextile dealers association and many other traders associations have also declared\nhalf-day leave for their employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The traffic department has also announced some changes in\nthe traffic routes on Monday when the polling booth officials will go to\nCommerce College and Rajasthan College to deposit ballot boxes. The polling\nparties will then go to Bhawani Niketan School to hand over voting materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
