Jaipur: A visitor and a tourist guide at Ranthambore\nNational Park of Sawaimadhopur in Rajasthan has been fined jointly Rs 51,000\nfor throwing stones at a sleeping tiger in order to make him move on Tuesday\nduring the full day Safari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The visitor identified as Mritunjai Tiwari wanted to take a\ncloser look at the tiger so the guide stepped down from the gypsy and pelted\nstones at the sleeping tiger, said officials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The complete scene was recorded in the thermal imaging\ncameras placed in the forest premises. The forest department officials after\nwatching the CCTV footage called the visitor and the guide outside the reserve\nand fined them with Rs 51,000. The guide has been suspended, added officials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident happened in Zone-6 near Pili ghat gate of\nRanthambore Tiger reserve in Sawaimadhopur on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The accused visitor Mritunjai Tiwari is a resident of Patna\nand came to enjoy full day Safari at Ranthambore on Tuesday and Wednesday. The\nofficials canceled his Wednesday\u2019s safari following his misconduct. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the forest officials, the accused tourist guide\nidentified as Islam Mohammed has been suspended from his duties until next\norder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2018The tiger was sleeping near the Pili ghat gate when\nsuddenly the tourist guide Islam pelted stones at it to make him move and come\ncloser to the gypsy so that the visitor can get the perfect shot in his\ncamera.\u2019 added officials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
DFO of Ranthambore Mukesh Saini said that as soon as the\ntourist and the guide were found violating the forest rules, the forest\nofficials tracked down the gypsy and took it out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
