Jaipur: Devotees in Rajasthan can now make donations online\nfor temples. The devasthan department has started this facility for temple\nassociated with the department. The devotees can make donations from any part\nof the world. The officials said that it\nwould boost revenue which will be used for restoration and upkeep of the\ntemples some of which are centuries old. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the officials, around fifty-nine thousand\ntemples are associated with the devasthan department in Rajasthan. Some of\nthese temples are located in other states bordering Rajasthan. Of them, a total\nof 390 temples are completely under government assistance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Initially, the department began the online donation services\nfor 24 major temples. These temples are among the most famous temples of\nRajasthan where a large number of devotees come to seek blessings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 If anyone wants\nto donate in the name of any particular temple out of 24 listed ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 If anyone wants\nto donate in the name of any particular God\\Goddess out of 34 listed ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 If anyone wants to\ndonate for any particular reason or the purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a different section on the website, a list of devotees\nwho donated online and the purpose of their donation on the Devasthan’s website\nis also available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The online donation services to the temples started last\nyear in September. Though, it did not get any publicity due to which the\nwebsite got only 66 online donations. The people donated around Rs 3 lakh\ncollectively ranging from Rs 1 to thousands of rupees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Select any one\ntemple, god\\goddess, purpose from the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 After clicking, a\nform asking for your personal and other necessary details will open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Fill the details\nand proceed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Your online\npayment will reach the respective temple. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
