{"id":6835,"date":"2019-04-16T12:46:48","date_gmt":"2019-04-16T07:16:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/?p=6835"},"modified":"2019-04-16T12:46:52","modified_gmt":"2019-04-16T07:16:52","slug":"barmer-police-constable-dies-while-chasing-smugglers-2-injured","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/barmer-police-constable-dies-while-chasing-smugglers-2-injured\/","title":{"rendered":"Barmer: Police constable dies while chasing smugglers; 2 injured"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Jaipur: A police constable died while two other policemen\nwere seriously injured when their vehicle overturned while chasing smugglers in\nBarmer district on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident occurred near Pachpadra village in Balotra\ncity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Revenue Minister Harish Chaudhary and SP Rashi Dogra Dudi\nalong with others reached Nahta Hospital in Balotra and inquired about the\nwelfare of injured jawans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deceased constable has been identified as Vishvendra\nSingh. The other two policemen who got seriously injured are SHO of Dudhawa\npolice station Khangar Singh and constable Hukum Singh. They are undergoing\ntreatment at the hospital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the police, the control room got a tip-off\nabout some smugglers in the region trying to get out of the city. Police sealed\nall the checkpoints and launched a search operation against the accused. The\nsmugglers broke the Pachpadra crossing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police officers including Vishvendra, Khangar, and Hukum\nSingh were chasing the accused\u2019s vehicle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suddenly, their vehicle overturned on a circle due to over\nspeed. Vishvendra Singh died on the spot while the other two got seriously\ninjured. The accused managed to flee from the spot, added police. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other police officials rushed to the spot after getting the\ninformation. They took the body of Vishvendra Singh to the hospital\u2019s mortuary\nand admitted the other two officers to the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The body was handed over to family members after the post\nmortem examination. Police are searching for the accused.
