Jaipur: Ranthambore\nNational Park tiger T-75 was shifted to the Sariska National Park on Monday. He\nwill be known as ST \u2013 16 at Sariska. This is the fourth male tiger at the\nreserve. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the forest officials, Tiger T-75 is seven years\nold and is the cub of Tigress T- 17 \u2018Sundari\u2019 and Tiger T-25 \u2018Dollar\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The step has been taken to increase the tiger population at\nSariska. Tiger T-75 is a mature tiger and is completely ready for mating.\nSariska has faced a loss in its tiger population after the death of ST -11,\nadded officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The forest department officials tranquilized Tiger T-75 for\nthe shifting. He is being currently kept in enclosures and will soon be\nreleased into the reserve, said an officer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The tiger relocation from Ranthambore to Sariska was\nscheduled for April 6 but some legal procedures and decisions took some time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A two-member team from NTCA and WII visited Ranthambore on\nApril 1 to inspect and oversee the preparations for the tiger shifting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The team picked five tigers aged between 4 and 7 years for\nthe relocation. The officials then selected Tiger T-75 for the relocation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The forest department officials including principal chief\nconservator GV Reddy, Ranthambore field Director YK Sahu, and DFO Mukesh Saini\ngave a go-ahead to the proposal after getting approval from the National Tiger\nConservation Authority (NTCA) and Wild Life Institute (WII).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
