Jaipur: The passenger\nfootfall at Jaipur International Airport has decreased to around 2.25 lakh in\n2018-2019 as compared to 2017-2018. Termination of some domestic and\ninternational flights and implementation of NOTAM at the airport due to\nconstruction work might be the reason for the decrease, said officials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Around 55 lakh passengers travelled from Jaipur airport in\n2018. The number is 14.5 lakh commuters for the first three months of 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The number of commuters can cross 60 lakh by the end of this\nyear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many developments and construction work have been going on\nat Jaipur airport for the past few months. The work is in the final stage for\nterminal expansion and taxi stand parallel to the runway at the airport. It\nwill be completed soon. Also, NOTAM will soon be removed, said officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the administration, the new summer schedule\ncame into force at the airport from March 31 which led to less air connectivity\nfrom Jaipur as nine flights were terminated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, a notice to airmen (NOTAM) implemented at Jaipur\nairport from April. According to this, no flight is being operated at Jaipur\nairport between 10:30 pm to 5 am. A taxi track is being built along with the\nrunway at the airport due to which the decision was taken. The construction\nwork is being undertaken from 10:30 pm to 5:00 am near the runway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The number of operational flights at Jaipur airport was 72\nbefore March 31. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 65 domestic flights to 23 different cities and\nseven flights to five international destinations are being operated at Jaipur\nInternational Airport currently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, the Adani Enterprises started managing the Jaipur\nairport along with four other airports including Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram,\nand Mangalore from March under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
