Jaipur: The\ndevelopment work of Dravyavati River Project in Jaipur was supposed to be\ncompleted by April 10, but the deadline will be missed once again. The\ngovernment is planning to extend the deadline one more time, said officials. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As per the officials, the works worth about Rs 175 crore are\nstill incomplete and the government officials have decided to extend the\ndeadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the sources, the work is taking time due to\nsome differences between the private firm Tata Projects Limited and Jaipur\nDevelopment Authority (JDA). Some legal issues are also delaying the project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
An official announcement regarding the extension of the\ndeadline is yet to be made. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The private firm is asking for a few more months whereas the\nJDA is asking to extend the deadline by two months, added sources. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 13 km stretch of Dravyavati riverfront out of 47 km \u2013\nthat is the area from Sushilpura to Bambala bridge \u2013 was thrown open for public\non October 2. The inauguration was done by then CM Vasundhara Raje at Landscape\npark in Mansarovar. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
After that, Bird Park developed under the Dravyavati River\nProject near Panipech in Shashtri Nagar was thrown open for people on November\n4. This is the second park developed under the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Three different parks that spread over an area of 1,00,000\nsq. m have been designed and developed alongside Dravyavati river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Dravyavati riverfront is being developed along a length\nof 47-kilometers across the city. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Dravyavati River was the long-lost river of the city\nbefore this project initiated. What remained was the Amanishah Nala, where the\ncity\u2019s untreated sewage, large amounts of garbage and industrial effluent used\nto get dumped.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
