Jaipur: The Rajasthan high court directed Jaipur Development\nAuthority (JDA) to correct various discrepancies in the walking track of\nCentral Park. The 4-km long walking track is plagued by several problems. The court\nalso ordered the JDA to submit how the officials planned to use the land where\nencroachment and illegal structures were removed. The case will come up for\nhearing on July 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The double bench of acting chief justice Mohammed Rafeeq and\nJustice Goverdhan Badhdar issued these directions on a petition filed by one\nYogesh Yadav. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The petitioners argued that the court had asked the JDA to\nremove encroachment from the land, but the civic body was intending to give the\nland back to the encroachers. The boundary has not been razed down and the JDA\nofficials are preparing a plan of usage for the land. JDA lawyer Manoj Sharma\nsaid that the civic had taken the possession of the land from the encroachers,\nbut couldn\u2019t submit the plan due to the model code of conduct enforced in the wake\nof upcoming Lok Sabha elections. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The petitioner also argued that the uneven width of the\njogging track is causing joggers visiting the Central Park many problems. The\ntrack is also in the need of repair at many places.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
