Jaipur: Kota and\nRajsamand teams of Rajasthan Anti-Corruption bureau on Thursday arrested SP\nSudheer Kumar Yadav of Narcotics Control Bureau of Chittorgarh, a head\nconstable and two opium brokers on Thursday. The ACB made these arrests while\nfollowing the leads from the investigation into the IRS officer Sahiram Meena\ntrap case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ACB officials conducted a search at the residence of\nSudhir Yadav and recovered 14 g brown sugar and Rs 82000 cash on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ACB team got a tip-off about the opium broker Chagan\nJat, a residence of Kapasan near Nimbahera police station area in the case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The officials after conducting searches at his house found\n134kg opium, Rs 5 lakh cash and 8 quintal doda chuara. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
ACB had presented 244 pages chargesheet in connection with\nthe Sahiram Meena trap case in a court on March 25. Meena was produced in the court\nthrough video conferencing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
ACB in its reports revealed the alleged role of a district\nopium officer (DOO) of Chittorgarh. ACB accused the officer of appointing\nKamlesh\u2019 father Nandlal as a supervisor in the department intentionally. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, ACB did not rule out the possibility of the\ninvolvement of other accused in the case. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additional commissioner of Kota Narcotics control bureau\nSahiram Meena, son of opium tenant broker Kamlesh Dhakad and District opium\nofficer of Chittorgarh B.R. Subramanian were booked under several sections of\nIPC and CRPC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next hearing in the case will take place on April 8.\nAccording to the police, Sahiram Meena was planning to contest Lok Sabha\nelections 2019. He was in touch with several politicians to get a ticket. He\nwas to retire from his service this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ACB unearthed movable and immovable assets worth crores\nof rupees from the house and other places belonging to Sahiram Meena, an\nadditional commissioner deputed in the narcotics control bureau in Kota who was\nallegedly caught taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh on January 26. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ACB lodged another case against senior narcotics control\nbureau officer Sahiram Meena and his family members for the disproportionate\nwealth of over Rs 13 crore after his arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Investigations revealed that Meena lied in the immovable\nproperty return (IPR) that he submitted to the government. He mentioned that he\nowns a house on 32 bigha land in his native Sawai Madhopur district and also\ntwo plots in the name of his wife and brother.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
