Jaipur: Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) leader Hanuman Beniwal announced to form an alliance with BJP party for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2019 on Thursday. The announcement was made in a press conference attended the BJP leaders including Prakash Javedkar and Madanlal Saini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prakash Javedkar said that Hanuman Beniwal will contest\nupcoming elections from Nagaur from his party. The BJP will not field its\ncandidate there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The BJP is yet to release the names of its candidates for\nfive Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan, while the Congress has announced candidates\nfor all the 25 seats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The rumors have been doing the rounds for the past few weeks\nthat Beniwal would join the Congress but after the party released its final\nlist of candidates on Monday, it was being speculated that Beniwal would join\nthe BJP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beniwal told media persons that the Congress has been\nmisguiding people for years, so he was joining the BJP to stop it from coming\nto power. \u201cOur aim is to bring back Narendra Modi as our Prime Minister in\n2019,\u201d said Beniwal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Independent MLA from Khinvsar constituency Hanuman Beniwal\nfloated his party in October 2018 before the Assembly elections 2018 and named\nit \u2018Rashtriya Loktantrik Party\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beniwal had won in 2008 on a BJP ticket but was suspended\nfrom the party in 2012 due to differences with then CM Vasundhara Raje. In\n2013, he contested as an independent from Khinvsar and won.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similarly, former BJP leader Ghanshyam Tiwari joined the\nCongress in presence of the party\u2019s national president Rahul Gandhi in Jaipur\non March 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The official announcement was made at the Congress\u2019s Jan\nSabha rally in Jaipur at Ramlila Ground where Rahul Gandhi addressed a booth\nlevel sammelan of party workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tiwari told media persons that for the sake of democratic\nvalues, he decided to join the Congress. Tiwari will not contest the Lok Sabha\npolls but will serve as an active member of the Congress during the election\ncampaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The dates for upcoming Lok Sabha Elections were announced by\nElection Commission of India. Polling in Rajasthan on 25 seats will be held on\nApril 29 (Phase 4) and May 6 (Phase 5). The results will be announced on May\n23.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
