Jaipur: The crime branch of Jaipur police arrested 14\nmembers of a betting racket who were allegedly taking betting money from people\nfor the IPL 2019 matches. The police carried out a raid in a flat of My Haveli\nnear Bhankrota near Jaipur-Ajmer highway on Tuesday and busted the gang. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police caught them red-handed and recovered records\nsuggesting betting placed on the match worth crores of rupees. The police also\nrecovered 82 mobile phones, six laptops, four LEDs, Rs 54000 cash and two SUV\ncars. The arrested men are the residents of Jodhpur, Nagaur, Jaisalmer,\nBikaner, and Jhunjhunu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police got a tip-off about the gang operating in the flat\nnumber 1239 and 3540 of Unique Builders \u2013 My Haveli located on Jaipur- Ajmer\nhighway on Tuesday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The crime branch of Jaipur Commissionerate constituted a\nspecial team to carry out a search. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The accused have been identified as Virendra Singh, Kuldeep\nSingh, Rakesh Bishnoi, Chandraveer Singh, Vikas Bishnoi, Manoj Bishnoi and\nSantosh Bishnoi, residents of Mahamandir area of Jodhpur. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The other accused Deepak Punjabi, Vikram Punjabi, Tanveer,\nGajendra Singh, and Harsh Kumar Meghwal, residents of Vyas colony of Bikaner\nwere arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, accused Himesh Jaypal, a native of Jaisalmer, accused\nManohar Singh, a resident of Jhunjhunu and Mahipal Singh, a resident of Nagaur\nwere arrested. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the police, a register was recovered from flat\nin which betting records of Rs 1,77,25,508 was found. Another record in their\nhard disk suggesting betting transactions worth crores of rupees was also\nrecovered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The accused took bets from people who placed their money on\nthe match through different mobile numbers, added officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The men are in police custody and the officers are\ninterrogating them. Further investigation is going on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police have booked them under several sections of IPC\nincluding cheating and forgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Similarly, Jaipur police arrested seven men for betting on\nthe ongoing IPL 2019 matches near Jaisinghpura Road in Jaipur on Saturday\nnight. The accused men are the residents of Ajmer and came to Jaipur about\n15-20 days ago for the betting purpose. Police recovered mobile phones,\nlaptops, cash and several things from them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The accused were identified as Jatin Shah (45), Rahul\nPrajapati (29), Vinod Sindhi (39), Hemant Sindhi (37), Harish Kumar (35),\nChandu Kumar (37) and Raj Kumar (45), residents of Ajmer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
