CBI inspector Prakash Chand on whose behalf the middleman was taking the bribe has allegedly gone missing. The bribe included a cash amount of Rs 30 lakh and a cheque of Rs 45 lakh.<\/p>\n<p>ADG ACB Alok Tripathi said that the ACB complaint had approached the agecy after Prakash Chand demanded a bribe of Rs 1.5 crore in connection with the investigation into some plots related to a housing cooperative society. The investigation in the case had been handed over to the CBI by the Rajasthan high court. The CBI inspector had already received Rs 90 lakh from the ACB complainant.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint was verified by the ACB following which a trap was laid. On Thursday, the ACB trapped Shantilal Aanchalia and recovered a cash amount of Rs 30 lakh and 11 self cheques of Rs 45 lakh from his possession.<\/p>\n<p>The ACB has requested senior CBI officers to make Prakashchand available for interrogation. Prakashchand was transferred to Jaipur on deputation. He was earlier posted with Delhi police. The CBI has also launched an investigation following the trap.<\/p>\n<p>The ACB has been trying to trap the middleman for the past 10 days. However, they succeeded only on Thursday, according to ADG Tripathi.<\/p>\n<p>The ACB has trapped several government officials in the past few days. The Bundi team of ACB arrested Employee\u2019s State Insurance Cooperation Inspector Rajkumar Choudhary after he was allegedly caught accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 on March 6.<\/p>\n<p>The Jaipur team ACB arrested Vikram Kumar- Reader of Tehsildaar Gajendra Kumar- after he was allegedly caught taking a bribe of Rs 5000 in district collectorate on February 19.<\/p>\n<p>Rajasthan ACB on February 14 at night arrested assistant public prosecutor (APP) Chandrabhan Joshi, a police head constable of Jhotwara police station Battu Khan and a middleman Sumant Singh for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh.<\/p>\n<p>The Alwar team ACB arrested assistant engineer (AEN) of Jaipur Vidhyut Vitaran Nigam (JVVN) Ramesh Chand Meena after he was allegedly caught accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh on February 7.
