Jaipur: In an order that will affect over 26,000 youths in the state, the Rajasthan high court on Friday rejected a petition that sought some corrections in the results of Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) \u2013 2018 Level \u2013 1.<\/p>\n
The quashing of the appeal has paved the way for recruitment of Grade \u2013 3 teachers in Rajasthan. The court had in October stayed the recruitment after the petition was filed by one Mahendra Kumar Jatolia and others, halting the process of filling up about 26,000 vacancies for Grade \u2013 3 teachers in the state.<\/p>\n
The division bench of chief justice Pradeep Nandrajog and justice GR Moolchandani rejected the petition on Friday.<\/p>\n
The petitioners had argued that the RPSC was filling up the vacancies on the basis of only the marks obtained by candidates in the REET examination. The appeal stated that since the candidates of all the past REET results were being considered for the 26,000 vacancies, the candidates who appeared for REET \u2013 2015 would get an edge over those who didn\u2019t appear for the same exam.<\/p>\n
The court heard arguments over the appeal and rejected it. It will pave way for recruitment of nearly 26,000 Grade \u2013 3 teachers in Rajasthan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
