Just a day prior to his encounter, Rajasthan\u2019s DGP Kapil Garg issued a reward of Rs 1 lakh against him on Wednesday as he has more than 15 criminal cases registered against him with various police stations in the state, particularly bordering Punjab.<\/p>\n<p>Bhadu was active in the student politics in Srigangangar and was accused of giving training to college dropouts in the bordering areas. His native village is just eight km from Sriganganagar border in Rajasthan.<\/p>\n<p>The dreaded gangster Ankit Bhadu was the resident of Sherewala village in Abohar district of Punjab.<\/p>\n<p>Bhadu had opened fire at Sriganganagar police jawans on 12 August in 2018 and managed to flee from the spot after a shootout to Haryana. The Rajasthan police then announced cash reward of Rs 50,000 on him.<\/p>\n<p>Ankit Bhadu was a member of Haryana gangster Lawrence Bishnoi\u2019s gang and became its leader after Bishnoi was put behind bars. He was a skilled shooter and used to give training to Haryana and Punjab college dropout students to use pistols.<\/p>\n<p>After Lawrence\u2019s and Nehra\u2019s arrest, Bhadu was the only remaining most-wanted criminal from Bishnoi gang.<\/p>\n<p>Around 15 cases of murder, extortion, loot, and dacoity were lodged against him in the Sriganganagar police station of Rajasthan.<\/p>\n<p>As per the sources, Bhadu had allegedly killed history sheeter Jordan in May last year at Sriganganagar.<\/p>\n<p>Rajasthan police\u2019s DGP Kapil Garg issued a reward of Rs 1 lakh on the gangster Ankit Bhadu on February 6.
