{"id":6263,"date":"2019-01-24T20:15:14","date_gmt":"2019-01-24T14:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/?p=6263"},"modified":"2019-01-24T20:15:14","modified_gmt":"2019-01-24T14:45:14","slug":"evehicles-for-jhalana-leopard-safari-from-next-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/evehicles-for-jhalana-leopard-safari-from-next-week\/","title":{"rendered":"eVehicles for Jhalana Leopard Safari from next week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jaipur: The tourists coming to Jhalana Leopard Reserve in Jaipur will be able to enjoy leopard safari and spot other wildlife animals in electric vehicles (eVehicle) from next week.<\/p>\n<p>Jhalana Leopard Reserve has become the first wildlife reserve in Rajasthan to introduce eVehicles.<\/p>\n<p>The forest department has decided to introduce six eVehicles for the Leopard Safari \u2013 each with the capacity of 6 people. Of them, five will take visitors on leopard safari, while one will be there to deal emergency situations.<\/p>\n<p>According to the forest officials, the tourist footfall increased rapidly after the launch of Leopard Project at Jhalana in 2018. A total of 10 gypsies and canters with the capacity of 120 people take visitors into Jhalana forests in two shifts.<\/p>\n<p>Some tourists have to return disappointed on weekends and holidays due to the unavailability of more vehicles. With the introduction of eVehicles service, the reserve will be able to host more visitors from the next week.<\/p>\n<p>The electric vehicles can be booked online as well as offline.<\/p>\n<p>DFO Jhalana Sudarshan Sharma said that electric vehicles are being introduced in Rajasthan for the first time. Other national parks and reserves of Rajasthan will also get eVehicles soon.<\/p>\n<p>Due to increasing air and noise pollution caused by gypsies and canters at Rajasthan wildlife reserves including Ranthambore national park, Sariska tiger reserve, and Jhalana park, the forest department has decided to launch electric vehicles for tourists.<\/p>\n<p>Maharashtra\u2019s Tadoba Tiger Reserve has already launched electric vehicle for wildlife safari and it is attracting a lot number of people.<\/p>\n<p>The eVehicles will prove very useful at Jhalana in Rajasthan, as the animal species including tigers and Panthers are very shy. They hide in the inner areas of forests due to noise caused by canters.
