The airport employee\u2019s union will stage a protest on December 28 against the government&#8217;s decision to manage six airports of India under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.<\/p>\n<p>The central government announced in November that Jaipur and five more airports of the country \u2013 Lucknow, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Mangalore will be managed on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. The government claimed that it would boost infrastructure and facilities for passengers.<\/p>\n<p>The six airports including Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Mangalore will be managed by private firms in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>According to the president of Udaipur Airport employees union, the employees will stage a protest against the government\u2019s decision to implement PPP model at six airports of the country on December 28. The supervision of these airports should be under the Airport Authority of India and not under any private firm, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told media persons in Delhi while releasing the government order in November that the decision was taken after the PPP mode was successfully implemented at some other airports in the country.
