With this, the reserve will soon be thrown open for tourists. While the tigers had been shifted to the reserve, no tourist activity was being allowed.<\/p>\n<p>The petition filed by Ajay Shankar Dubey opposed the shifting of tiger \u2018T-91\u2019 from Ranthambore to Mukundra Hills. The petition also put a hold to shifting of two tigresses from Rajasthan\u2019s other reserves to Mukundra.<\/p>\n<p>The petition alleged that the shifting violated the wildlife laws and demanded the relocation of Tigers to their natural habitat.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, Principal Chief conservator of forests, GV Reddy had informed the high court that the Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve near Bundi would not be opened to tourists until the administration receives a judgement on the petition. Also, no tourist activity will be conducted around the sanctuary for tigers till the court decides on the case.<\/p>\n<p>The Rajasthan government sent a proposal to National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) in 2017 to reintroduce tigers in Mukundra Hills tiger reserve<\/p>\n<p>The petition filed argued that the forest department did not meet the guidelines laid by NTCA and still went ahead with tiger shifting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jaipur: The Rajasthan high court on Monday gave a green signal to shifting of tigers from Ranthambore national park to Mukundra Hills tiger reserve by dismissing a petition filed by activist Ajay Shankar Dubey in this regard.
