The strike of gypsy and canter drivers, hoteliers and other tourist industry stakeholders in Ranthambore tiger reserve in Sawaimadhopur ended on Saturday evening. The tourists heaved a sigh of relief as they will now be able to enjoy tiger safari in the national park on Sunday.<\/p>\n

According to the reserve authorities, a meeting of officials with canter owners, hoteliers and other traders who were on strike was held on Saturday afternoon. The forest department agreed to look into their demands and asked them to resume the tourism-related activities.<\/p>\n

The strike had begun on Friday. The protestors were demanding allow tiger safari in Zone 11 and Zone 12 of Ranthambore tiger reserve to an increase in the number of vehicles that are sent into the park for safari.<\/p>\n

The protestors threatened that the strike would continue for seven days, but after meeting with reserve officials they decided to end the strike. Earlier the reserve officials had threatened to take a strict action against protestors and issued notice to them.<\/p>\n

The forest department of Ranthambore had canceled all the bookings for Tiger Safari due to the strike of workers association at Ranthambore national park. Hotel owners, canter operators, and guides association of Ranthambore National Park are demanding to increase the number of tourists\u2019 entry allowed into the park.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
