Jaipur: Dissidence has become a cause of concern for the Congress in Rajasthan as many senior leaders are expressed their dissatisfaction over not getting a ticket after they found their names excluded from the party\u2019s first list of candidates for the Rajasthan assembly elections 2018.<\/p>\n
Protests were witnessed in many constituencies of Rajasthan on Friday. Sources said that the protest has forced to the Congress to rethink about the selection of candidates in some 4-5 assembly constituencies.<\/p>\n
The Congress Party is yet to release its second list of 48 candidates. The Screening committee is conducting a meeting at Delhi on Saturday to decide rest of the candidates for 48 seats. The protests may come up for discussion and the party may revise its first list also, sources added.<\/p>\n
While the Jaipur\u2019s former mayor Jyoti Khandelwal resigned from her post of general secretary in the Congress after she was denied a ticket on Friday, many other leaders have become rebels and are resigning from the primary membership of Congress.<\/p>\n

The BJP is also facing dissidence among several senior leaders. Some leaders including Habibur Rahaman have joined the Congress, while some others including minister Rajkumar Rinwa have declared that they would fight as independent candidates.<\/p>\n
The BJP has released two lists of nominees which included 162 candidates. The Congress party has released one list of 152 candidates out of 200 seats in the state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
