A new \u2018queue less voting\u2019 system will be introduced this time at all the 51,796 polling booths in the state. The voters will not have to stand in long queues to vote at polling booths for the upcoming Assembly elections 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The voters will be given a token number on first-come-first-serve basis. Several tents will be put up at polling booths where voters can relax while waiting for their turn based on their token number.<\/p>\n<p>Necessary facilities such water and medical aid will be available in the tents. Two volunteers will be appointed in each tent who will call a group of ten voters for voting according to their token number.<br \/>\nThe \u2018queue less system\u2019 was used in Karnataka in the past. It will be implemented in Rajasthan this time for a hassle-free voting.<\/p>\n<p>A separate voting arrangement for elderly, disabled and women with infants will also be introduced. First preference will be given to them. They will not be required to collect token numbers. The appointed volunteers will escort them to the voting machine in a separate queue.<\/p>\n<p>A separate voting arena will be earmarked for the female voters at polling booths where turnout is expected to be big.<\/p>\n<p>According to the election department officials, the proposal of \u2018queue less voting\u2019 has been approved by the EC.<\/p>\n<p>The voting in Rajasthan for the upcoming assembly elections will take place on December 7.
