The track covers hilly regions of the forest, where the lions are spotted in the day time. The Lion Safari was closed for two days due to the track construction.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to build the new track was taken after visitors complained of not spotting lions during the safari. The aim is to increase the footfall of tourists during the upcoming tourism season, said a forest official.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/over-65-people-visit-lion-safari-in-jaipur-on-first-day\/\">The Lion Safari at Nahargarh Biological Park\u00a0<\/a>was closed on October 18 and October 19 as the new tracks for the Safari were being constructed.<\/p>\n<p>Several visitors complained that they did not spot the lions during the safari. On average, 60-70 tourists enjoy safari daily. An 8-shaped track was constructed over 36 hectares for the safari, which is around 3.5 km long.<\/p>\n<p>According to the visitors, the 3.5 km long track is too small for 36 hectares. There are only three lions in the park. The lions sometimes hide in the inner hilly regions of the forests and can\u2019t be spotted during the Safari.<\/p>\n<p>The forest administration decided to close the Safari for two days to build the tracks. As per forest officials, the new track adds one more km.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 10 lions will enthrall tourists during the safari at Nahargarh Biological Park. For now, the visitors are able to sight three cubs named as Tejas, Tripur, and Taara roaming freely over an area of 36 hectares. The total cost of the Lion Safari project funded by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is Rs 4 crore.<\/p>\n<p>The entry fee\/booking price for the safari is Rs 200 per hour\/ per person.
