{"id":5367,"date":"2018-10-15T13:14:56","date_gmt":"2018-10-15T07:44:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/?p=5367"},"modified":"2018-10-15T13:14:56","modified_gmt":"2018-10-15T07:44:56","slug":"ajmer-acb-arrests-mdsu-professor-for-taking-bribe-of-rs-50000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/ajmer-acb-arrests-mdsu-professor-for-taking-bribe-of-rs-50000\/","title":{"rendered":"Ajmer: ACB arrests MDSU professor for taking bribe of Rs 50,000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jaipur: Rajasthan anti-corruption bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested Professor Dr. Satish Agarwal of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU) in Ajmer after he was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from a student in lieu of scholarship payment.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Satish Agarwal is a professor in the management department of MDS University.<\/p>\n<p>According to ACB officials, the accused Satish Agarwal demanded Rs. 1.5 lakh from the student for approving his scholarship payment of Rs 3 lakh. After negotiations, he agreed to settle for Rs 75,000. Professor Agarwal allegedly took Rs 25,000 before the verification and agreed to take the rest of the amount later.<\/p>\n<p>After the deal, the student registered a complaint with ACB against Satish Agarwal. ACB looked into the matter and after the complaint was found genuine, a trap was laid, ACB officials said.<\/p>\n<p>The student went to the accused with the remaining Rs 50,000 of the bribe amount.
