Rajasthan Chief minister Vasundhara Raje inaugurated the Jhalana Leopard Reserve in Jaipur under the first ever \u2018Project Leopard\u2019 initiated by the state government on Thursday. It will contribute to the wildlife conservation drive and boost the tourism sector.<\/p>\n<p>DFO Sudarshan Sharma said, \u201cWe have heard of several tiger and lion reserves in India but this is for the first time when a Leopard Reserve Park has been introduced and thrown open to visitors. Several measures have been taken for the wild animals and visitors to ensure their safety.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the safari, interpretation center, tourist refreshment hut, tourist waiting room, unique entry gate, talking Leopard dummies and several paintings has been introduced for the tourists.<\/p>\n<p>A photo gallery has been set up in the interpretation center of the Jhalana Reserve, where photos from several wildlife photographers and lovers will be displayed. The journey of Jhalana Leopard Safari will be presented in form of audio-visual devices and paintings.<\/p>\n<p>Jaipur will be known for its wildlife tourism with the launch of Lion Safari, Leopard Safari, and Bird Aviary, forest department officials said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is Project Leopard? <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Project Leopard\u2019 is the first ever project in the country initiated by the Rajasthan government. Starting with Jaipur it will spread to different parts of the country. The aim of the project is to conserve leopards and provide them with habitat.<\/p>\n<p>Seven more Leopard project will be introduced at different places in the state including Kumbhalgarh, Jaisamnad, Shergarh, Mount Abu, Khetri, JawaiBaandh Conservation Reserve and Bassi, according to Rajasthan Forest Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar.<\/p>\n<p>The Jhalana Forest Reserve is located in the heart of the Jaipur at Malviya Nagar Industrial area.
