Jaipur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Khadims (priests) of Ajmer Dargah in a video conference from Delhi as part of the cleanliness drive \u2018Swachhata Hi Seva Movement\u2019 launched by PM Modi on Friday.<\/p>\n
He discussed various issues related to the cleanliness of Dargah and its surrounding areas during the video conference. Syed Moin Hussain Chishti from Ajmer Sharif Dargah interacted with PM Modi in VC.<\/p>\n
The district administration and National Informatics Centre (NIC) had made all the arrangements for the occasion at Ajmer on Friday.<\/p>\n
The 13th-century Ajmer Dargah Sharif is among the Swachh Iconic Places in India. It is a clean-up initiative focused on iconic heritage, spiritual and cultural places through a multi-stakeholder approach model. The campaign was initiated under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in 2016.<\/p>\n
Prime Minister Modi started his \u2018Swachhata Hi Seva movement\u2019 to mark Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s 150th birth anniversary on October 2. PM Modi will interact with several people of \u2018Swatch Iconic Places\u2019 with regard to cleanliness drive-through video conference on Saturday. This drive will continue till October 2 and it aims at reaching out to people across the country for encouraging cleanliness.<\/p>\n
PM Modi tweeted \u201cthe \u2018Swachhata Hi Seva Movement\u2019 commences on 15th September. This is a great way to pay tributes to Bapu. Come, be a part of this movement and strengthen the efforts to create a Swachh Bharat!\u201d
\nPM Modi also connected with Daadi Jaanki who is a Brand Ambassador of India\u2019s \u2018Swachh Bharat Abhiyan\u2019.<\/p>\n
