The inauguration ceremony took place at Chief Minister office (CMO) at Jaipur on Thursday. CM Vasundhara Raje inaugurated the Nahargarh lion safari project from CMO during the Wildlife\u2019s board meeting. However, the Safari will be thrown open for the tourists from October. Forest minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar was also present in the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting of Wildlife Board was conducted at CMO in which issues related to wildlife were discussed.<\/p>\n<p>Several officials including CS DB Gupta, Principal Secretary Kuldeep Ranka, Principal chief conservator of forests (PCCF) G.V. File Photo<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The safari was supposed to be inaugurated by the end of July but the work couldn\u2019t be completed on time.<\/p>\n<p>According to officials, the total cost of the Lion Safari project funded by Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is Rs 4 crore. The visitors will be able to sight three cubs named as Tejas, Tripur and Taara roaming freely over an area of 36 hectares. The trio was given birth by Asiatic lioness Tejika who died earlier this year. Ten different shelters have been made for the lions too. More lions will be brought in from Gujarat for the Safari which will be open for the tourists in October.<\/p>\n<p>The other development work in the Jhalana Safari is also likely to be inaugurated this month.<\/p>\n<p>Nahargarh Biological Park is located on Delhi- Jaipur highway and is a favorite place for tourists and locals. Spread over 720-hectare, Lion safari will cover 36 hectares of land.
