A proposal regarding this has been sent to the Central Zoo Authority of India (CZAI) in New Delhi. The decision will be taken soon. After the proposal is approved, the place will become a home to different species of birds and the other animals will be shifted to Nahargarh Biological Park. Special enclosures for the bird will be set up.<\/p>\n<p>The zoo administration has sent a new design for the zoo to the CZAI in which 25- 30 enclosures will be created for keeping the different species of birds. Several birds will be brought from across the globe through exchange programs. Apart from the birds, some reptiles will be kept here too, which are there in the zoo since its start.<\/p>\n<p>Lions and tigers had been the pride of the Jaipur\u2019s Zoo for the past 138 years but after they were shifted to National Biological Park, the decision of converting the zoo into a bird aviary was taken. Jaipur Zoo is spread over an area of 32 acres. The ticket system will remain the same as it is currently.<\/p>\n<p>As per Sudarshan Sharma, DFO (Divisional Forest officer), Jaipur, the design and the proposal of the bird aviary have been sent to CZAI. After shifting the animals from the zoo in the Nahargarh Biological Park, only birds will be sheltered here, for which preparations are going on.
