Jaipur:<\/strong> The department of tourism, Rajasthan will sell 17 government hotels and midways, some of which are heritage properties, by March 31 to reduce financial losses.<\/p>\n

The officials are learnt to have secured permission for the same from the country\u2019s tourism department. The properties include the RTDC hotel at Jaipur\u2019s Khasa Kothi Circle and Udaipur\u2019s Anand Mahal.<\/p>\n

Hotels and midways are situated in Jaipur, Udaipur, Alwar\u2019s Behror, Dausa, Mahuwa Shahpura, Talvriksha, Rishabdev, Ratangarh, Dewali, Pindwara, Gulabpura, Nathdwara, Mandawa, Pushkar, and Manahera.<\/p>\n

The tourism department has sped up the process for selling the properties after getting a nod from Delhi, sources said.<\/p>\n

Instead of improving the quality of services and the condition of the properties and marketing them properly, the tourism department has decided to sell them off.<\/p>\n

The department has suffered huge financial losses due to vacancies in these hotels.<\/p>\n
