These licenses were cancelled when either the traffic cops either caught people red-handed or their offense was recorded on CCTVs installed at traffic junctions. The traffic police department forwarded the recording of CCTVs to the RTO following which action was taken against the offenders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople should never use their phone while driving. We are taking this offense very seriously now because a lot of accidents take place due to this,\u201d said an RTO officer.<\/p>\n<p>After the traffic cops sent the recording of the offence to the RTO, the offenses were verified. Each of these driving license owners was served a notice requiring them to appear before RTO officers. They were given a chance to present their case and when the offense was found true, the licenses were cancelled on June 12, 15, 20, 21 and 28.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwenty seven of the licenses were cancelled by DTO (license) Jagatpuara, 40 by DTO Jhalana and 4 by DTO Vidhyadhar Nagar,\u201d said the officer.<\/p>\n<p>People who had their license cancelled can\u2019t drive vehicles in their concerned category now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf the person whose license has been cancelled is found driving and meets an accident, no government aid will be available to him. We are in the process of cancelling 15 more licenses,\u201d said the officer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What to do if your license is cancelled?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Using your phone while driving is a serious offense. You should always avoid this, but if you are caught and your license is cancelled, you need to submit an appeal to the RTO within 30 days.
