Jaipur: Barely four days after Election commission registered Bharat Vahini as a political party, its founder and senior Rajasthan leader Ghanshyam Tiwari resigned from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday. Though Bharat Vahini names Tiwari’s son Akhilesh as the founder, the senior leader had floated it and had been campaigning against Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje for a long time.

In a press conference here in Jaipur on Monday, Tiwari told media persons that he had submitted his resignation to BJP national president Amit Shah. Tiwari also outlined his plans to fight the upcoming assembly elections and field his party’s candidates across Rajasthan.

Talking to the media persons, Tiwari once again lashed out at chief minister Raje, accusing her of acting in autocratic manner and said that the BJP will lose in the elections due to her.

“… there is dissatisfaction in the BJP cadre and in the cadre of the ideological family and (if) this dissatisfaction does not end, they cannot win the next elections and this dissatisfaction is against the Chief Minister. That is why, I say, change this leadership.”, Tiwari had mentioned.

Tiwari’s son Akhilesh had earlier said that Bharat Vahini would field candidates to fight the upcoming elections from all 200 constituencies in Rajasthan.

The BJP’s disciplinary committee had earlier sent a notice to him for his alleged ‘anti-party’ activities. Responding to the notice, Tiwari had said that people would never surrender before a ‘corrupt’ government. Under the banner of his organisation ‘Deendayal Vahini’, Tiwari has been touring the state and gathering support against the government. However no further action was taken against Tiwari.

Jaipur: Barely four days after Election commission registered Bharat Vahini as a political party, its founder and senior Rajasthan leader Ghanshyam Tiwari resigned from Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday.
