The government has taken action against four developers for the first time since RERA came into force in May last year.<\/p>\n<p>Two developers have been asked to pay fines, while two others served show-cause notices for RERA violations.<\/p>\n<p>Two developers who didn\u2019t complete formalities related to document submission after their projects were registered with RERA has been asked to pay a fine that is four times the RERA registration fees.<\/p>\n<p>Two other developers who started promoting and marketing their projects without registering them with RERA have been served show-cause notices.<\/p>\n<p>One of the projects that were asked to pay a penalty is coming up in Shahpura near Jaipur. The developers of two projects coming up in Jaipur\u2019s Patrakar Colony and Diggi Road have been served notices.<\/p>\n<p>In September, RERA warned developers that the developers who haven\u2019t yet registered their ongoing projects would have to deposit a penalty of 2% of project cost or 10 times of registration fee, whichever is more.<\/p>\n<p>After the Act came into effect on May 1 in Rajasthan, the developers were given 90 days to register. This was as per section 3 of RERA Act, 2016.
