Fairs, exhibitions, events and other commercial activities will also be under the preview of the new regulations.<\/p>\n<p>The fire NOC will be applicable:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When an office, godown or garage is on a plot measuring more than 100 square feet.<\/li>\n<li>Multistory buildings including CBSE and ISSE schools<\/li>\n<li>Restaurants, hospitals, banks, financial institutions, colleges and industrial units built on plots measuring more than 1000 square feet.<\/li>\n<li>Hostels with a capacity of more than 50 students, warehouses, garages, petroleum storage and distribution units.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The renewal fee for Fire NOC will be Rs 10,000 for an area measuring up to 1000 square feet, Rs 20,000 for area from 1,000 to 2000 square feet and Rs 50,000 for area measuring more than 2000 square feet.<\/p>\n<p>Until now the JMC didn\u2019t charge any fee for renewing fire NOC for multistory buildings, hotels and commercial establishments and petroleum storage and distribution units, but now it will be charged.<\/p>\n<p>For organizing fairs and events, the JMC will charge a fee of Rs 60,000 per day. It will include Rs 25,000 for FIR NOC, Rs 25,000 for permit and Rs 10,000 for sanitation.<\/p>\n<p>Multistory buildings, hotels and commercial establishments were charged Rs 2 per square feet for fire NOC, but it has now been increased to Rs 50 per square feet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will use the increased revenue in strengthening our fire-fighting arrangements,\u201d said a senior JMC officer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jaipur: The Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has made it mandatory for office, godown and garage buildings built over a plot measuring more than 100 square meters to obtain a fire no-objection certificate (NOC).
