Jaipur: AU-Jairangam, that has gained popularity as Jaipur Theatre Festival, will kickstart from November 21. This week-long theater festival will be organized at the city\u2019s prominent theater venues including Jawahar Kala Kendra and Birla Auditorium and feature plays by some of the most famous theatre personalities in India.<\/p>\n
According to the organizers, the festival will provide a great experience to theatre lovers.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an opportunity to get swept up in an artistic force. Jairangam is a journey and a celebration. It will be an enriching theatre experience brought alive by some finest talents,\u201d the organizers claimed.<\/p>\n
The plays will include Paresh Rawal\u2019s ‘Krishan v\/s Kanhaiyaa’ which highlights the\u00a0transformation of a man from an atheist to a person who spreads the true meaning of prayer and religion. Makrand Desh Pandey\u2019s \u00a0‘Maa in Transit’ will also be one of the prominent plays. It deals with how a son tries to prolong the delay of his mother\u2019s last rights so that he could spend more time with her.<\/p>\n
\u2018Bechari Amrita\u2019 will be performed at Jawahar Kala Kendra at 11 am on November 21. IPS officer Saurabh Srivastava will direct the play.<\/p>\n
\u2018Bade Mia Diwane\u2019 will be performed from 7 pm on November 22. Directed by Imran Rashid, the comedy play brings to life the story of an aged man who creates hilarious situations in his life when he suddenly starts chasing girls.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe festival prides itself on having collaborated with undiscovered, emerging and established playwrights. Jairangam focuses on new work also which will reappraise Jaipur\u2019s exciting repertoire of plays with today\u2019s audiences, thereby creating its own classics,\u201d the organizers said.<\/p>\n
