{"id":1552,"date":"2017-05-27T08:02:39","date_gmt":"2017-05-27T02:32:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/?p=1552"},"modified":"2017-05-27T08:02:39","modified_gmt":"2017-05-27T02:32:39","slug":"hospitals-medical-shops-go-days-strike-jaipur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pinkcitypost.com\/hospitals-medical-shops-go-days-strike-jaipur\/","title":{"rendered":"Hospitals, medical shops go on a day\u2019s strike in Jaipur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jaipur:<\/strong> Private and government hospitals and medical shops will remain shut in the city on Saturday in protest of the alleged police apathy in arresting those involved in attacking Dr Ajay Bansal, the owner of Bansal Hospital last week, medical organizations said.<\/p>\n<p>Until now, only private hospitals were protesting, but unsatisfied over the police action taken in the matter, government hospitals and medical shops have also decided to join the protest, they said. Only emergency services will be functional in government hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to go on a day-long strike was taken in a meeting of doctors in Jaipur Medical Association building on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have decided that all medical establishments including hospitals and shops will observe a day-long strike,\u201d said Dr Sanjay Arya, a representative of medical association.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors will take out a protest march on Saturday evening and chalk out a strategy for future course of agitation.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Ajay Bansal was attacked by some men when their relative died while undergoing treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Bansal received 46 stitches on his head and also sustained serious injuries on his chest and nose.<\/p>\n<p>Police booked the family members for violence and arrested one of them; however, doctors are demanding that all accused should be arrested.<\/p>\n<p>They also demanded that the government implement the law \u00a0introduced for the security of on duty doctors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note: Want to share this story with someone?
